This may not be one of the pasta sauces that you just whip right up but we promise the time is worth it! Loaded with amazing flavor and Xtreme heat this recipe with be a favorite of everyones!
Ghost Pepper Bolognese Recipe | Elijah's Xtreme
32oz can whole tomatoes
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb spicy or regular italian sausage
2 carrots, diced
2 celery stalks, diced
1 onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup milk
1 cup dry white wine
1 cup beef broth
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp butter
2 tsp Elijah's Xtreme Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground all spice
1 tsp ground thyme
1 bay leaf
Salt & Pepper to taste
In a pot over medium-high heat, add butter and olive oil. Heat and stir until the butter is melted and combined. Add onion, celery, and carrots. Saute, stirring often for about 6-7 minutes.
Break up the italian sausage into small chunks. Add ground beef, sausage, and minced garlic to the pot. Continue cooking and stirring until the beef and sausage are cooked through.
Add white wine and cook for 6-8 minutes. Add tomatoes, beef broth, bay leaf, and ground thyme. Stir to combine then reduce the heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 3 hours.
Add Elijah’s Xtreme Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce, salt and pepper.
Serve over your favorite pasta and enjoy!
