This recipe was made by Jacky (tiktok: @kwokspots). He made bourbon chicken and we decided to spice it up a little by adding Elijah's Xtreme Reaper Sauce
Spicy Bourbon Chicken Recipe | Elijah's Xtreme
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
1/2 tsp five spice powder
1 Tbsp mirin
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
Pinch of salt
1-2 Tbsp of Bourbon
1-2 Tbsp Elijah's Xtreme Reaper Sauce
6-8 chicken thighs
Oil, for cooking
Green onions, minced
Cooked white rice
Ingredients for Marinade:
In a bowl mix soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, five spice powder, mirin, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, bourbon and Elijah’s Xtreme Reaper Sauce to make marinade. Set a few tablespoons aside to use as a glaze later.
Lay chicken out and make a few cuts to get the chicken as flat as possible but not thin. Toss chicken in marinade, cover and let marinate for at least 2 hours.
In a pan on medium-high heat, spray some cooking oil, set the chicken in and let cook for about 5 minutes on each side.
Cut the chicken into small-medium cubes and put over rice. Mix the few tablespoons left of the marinade with a little bit of honey and drizzle over chicken.
Top with a fried egg and some green onions and enjoy!
